Chinese Jumu hardwood coffer cabinet. A coffer is a strong chest or box used for keeping money or valuables safe. The front of the cabinet holds two drawers with hardware for locks. The lower portion has 3 panels.

Antique Chinese scholar's desk in 3 sections. The top section has 3 drawers in a horizontal row. Each of the bottom sections (that the top rests on) has 2 drawers and a compartment on the bottom enclosed with an open lattice work on all sides. Made of jumu (elm) wood. Hardware is made of brass.

Antique Chinese carved zitan wood table. The curving legs on which the table top stands are ornately carved with pierced details. The edges of the round table top is carved to match. All original.

Antique Chinese hardwood desk made from attractive Jumu (Elm) wood with the original finish. The traditional construction is solid wood with one drawer with a brass ring pull. Simple in design with a beautiful grain.

Antique Chinese hardwood altar table with hand carved lingzhi spiral apron joined in upturned flanges. The feet are spanned by an openwork of hand carved panels with drapery motifs. Original warm finish. Very sturdy, condition consistent with age.

Antique Chinese bronze incenser of a cylindrical form on tripod feet, standing on a carved wood base. The interior of the censer has natural green patina indicative consistent with age. The base is impressed with a six characte Xuande cartouche (1426-1435).
The Xuande Emperor, personal name Zhu Zhanji (朱瞻基), was the fifth emperor of the Ming dynasty, ruling from 1425 to 1435. His era name "Xuande" means "Proclamation of Virtue". Zhu Zhanji was the eldest son of the Hongxi... Click for details

An incredibly large and heavy hand carved wood architectural piece, with high relief carved pair of dragons on either side of a central ball of light surrounded in sacred lingzhi clouds. Depicted is a pair of mystical dragon fish on either side, a traditional symbol in China of transformation and new beginnings. The carving floats on a custom steel plates and mounts.

Antique Chinese 6-panel coromandel screen made of hardwood, possibly zitan. Inlaid with scholar items carved of various hardwoods and jade. All panels fit together with the original hooks and pins. In beautiful condition.
