N'aie Pas Peur by Mayumi Oda. N'aie pas peur translates has have not fear, the piece is also known as The Black Madonna. A mother and child stand together under a golden mandorla. The mother is Mary, mother of Jesus, she holds a white lily. This is print 7/50.

The Heart Sutra with Taro by Mayumi Oda. The paper is green with a sutra printed. A sutra is a formula or rule for life. A tree with large leaves and a frog are outlined by a silver spray. It measures 38.5" wide 12.25" tall. 28/50.

Green print of Earthship by Mayumi Oda. Print 16/100. A woman sails in a ship with an owl atop her head and a boat full of vegetables. Below the ship, in the ocean a sea turtle and a whale swim by. The sun smiles down upon the woman in the ship. It measures 11.75" wide 19" tall.

Contemporary print by Mayumi Oda. A baby rides a catfish that leaps out of the ocean. The waves are outlined below the fish. The print is signed at the bottom in pencil.

Tetsuya Noda, born 1940 in Kyushu. The art is a framed silkscreen mixed media work, part of the "Diary" series dated August 26th, 1985. The image and title is of his home town in Kayuwara. The edition is 11 of 15. The image size is 36 x 23 inches and 47.5 x 35.625 inches with frame. Excellent condition. Noda is part of the Sōsaku-hanga art movement and is considered a major 20th century Japanese artist.

A simple, yet elegant monochrome painting of bamboo with a poetic inscription below stating how the groves of bamboo creates shade and the new sprouts in spring are inviting invoking a sense of great virtue through the bamboo. An amazing wood sculpture of a standing lady looking at a mirror while fixing her hair. Sculpture was done by Owa Sakunai (1894- active 1987) originally Sakunai was a farmer in Nagano and did sculpture as a hobby. Sakunai received the opportunity to study at the Academie Julian when he was 65 years old. After his study in France, he submitted many of his works to the Nihon Bijutsu-in exhibition.
