Antique French Art Deco pedestal desk. Made of hardwood with dramatically striated grain. The desk top has a large, white rectangular writing surface and two drawers. Antique Japanese Art Deco bronze and silver figure of a parrot sitting on a holly branch. Elegant simplified lines and form with swooping tail and copper color eyes. In two sections. Signed by the artist, Tanshо̄ Inoue. He was famous for his Art Deco bronze work during the Taisho Period and a member of Tokyo Chukinkai (Tokyo Cast Bronze Craftman's Association).

Antique Japanese bronze vase with incised design. A vertical row of diamond shaped reserves with plum or cherry blossom and bamboo motif. Unusual overall form with wide mouth. Signed on the bottom and coated on the inside to hold water for flower arrangements. Comes with signed tomobako.
