Wonderful hand-carving from teak wood depicting Ganesha, the Hindu god of beginnings. He is easily identifiable by his elephant's head and four arms, two of which are shown holding his own broken tusks, and one of which is grasping his nose. Antique Indian bronze figure the Goddess Durga, she is seated with her lion mount depicted very small by her right leg, she wears a tall crown, her forehead is burnished from reverent touch over the years, her attributes which she hold in four hands include a sword and a club, she sits on a square base with an ornate nimbus of makara heads and naga canopy, Southern India, 19th century. Size: 10 1/2" high x 5 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" deep.

Beautiful bronze offering chalice from India with one large peacock surrounded by four smaller peacocks, bowing their heads in worship to the central bird. The chalice has a hinge on its front and back, which could secured shut with a pin or rope. The bronze has some red patina on the feathers of each bird and has bronze patina. Very detailed repousse made of copper depicting the Hindu deity Krishna, seen holding a spear in one hand and some sort of vine in the other. He has worshippers on either side of him, adorned in lavish jewelry, headdresses, and scarves. Behind Krishna is the winged holy being Garuda, who serves as the mount to Lord Vishnu. 19th century. A superb Indian statue of a pair of Hindu deities with different attendants set near the deity. The couple might be the deities Shiva and Parvati with their child, Ganesha.
