An unusual Japanese Kyogen theater mask of a dog. Kyogen is a major form of classical Japanese musical drama that has been performed since the 14th century. One of the oldest major theatre art still regularly performed today. Overall in good condition with original finish. Mounted on steel plates and armature wire presentation.

Edo Period Circa 18th century.
