Korean white porcelain was prized by members of the royal court during the Joseon Period. Special kilns were established by the court to exclusively produced these beautiful white porcelain vessels.

Antique Japanese rare and tall ikebana basket, intricately woven of fine split bamboo. The body of the basket has a beautiful, undulating quality. The woven pattern is wildly natural on the lower portion, then switches to ordered bands closer to a wide rim. The extraordinary handle is made of twisted root wood.

Antique Japanese tall ikebana basket for flower arranging. Woven of split bamboo of varying widths in an wild yet ordered pattern. The foot is woven of a finer bamboo twisted into a rope. The tall handle is made of beautifully gnarled wisteria branches.

This is a Japanese Ikebana bamboo by the artist Yufu Shōhaku, still living and one of the most famous bamboo artist in Japan. This basket is in the shape of an ancient bronze vessel and it features an exaggerated loop handle. Antique Thai figure of seated Buddha Shakyamuni. Made of bronze and seated with his hands folded in meditation (Dhyana mudra). Downcast eyes with lids barely open, a gentle smile on his face, he exudes a sense of calm. With lovely patina and traces of gilt. Age: Ayutthaya (1350-1767 A.D.) An antique Korean true chest made entirely of red pine wood. Nickel hardware with double gourd hard mounts and stylized Chrysanthemum nail heads. Originally used to store valuables. Possibly originates from North Korea. Constructed using dovetail joinery.

An antique Japanese bamboo Ikebana basket with grated half hooped corners in its design. The handle in its token form loosely suggests its ethereal nature and use in the art of Ikebana flower arranging. It has a two slatted flat base with a bottom grid pattern measuring about 1" apart. The basket has an ephemeral quality as if it was made at the whim of the artist for the moment.

An antique Japanese bamboo Ikebana basket in a stylized Baluster form with bi-color bamboo intertwined with mature bamboo featuring dark nodules in a diagonal cross-hatch pattern. Each square of the pattern measures 1 3/8" and they are not tightly woven though they are in scale with the size of the basket. An antique Tibetan traveling trunk made of hand hewn Pine wood. Leather was stretched over the wood and hand painted in polychrome lacquer. There are arrow shaped hard mounts, butterfly appliqué mounts on the corners and Dorje accents. The central panel features an offering tray of Hoju (sacred jewels). Stylized Peonies decorate the trunk and the main colors used were analogous primary hues. The cover of the top features a green water dragon.
