Chinese antique painting depicting a large group of travelers arriving at a mountain pavilion presumably for a wedding, a continuous string of figures and horses are shown winding their way around mountains and over streams carrying palanquins and provisions, at one point in the scene a rest stop has been set up with a tent and chairs where men are refreshing themselves and their horses, the party then enters the first set of gates to a beautiful lush palace, figures have just entered the inner gates carrying gifts in red baskets and boxes, in the main pavilion a group of ladies watches the arriving visitors waiting to offer tea, a large banquet has been set and cooks can be seen preparing food in a nearby building. Painted in ink and mineral colors on silk, mounted as a 6 panel folding screen, 17th/18th century.
