Balinese Mask of a strong male or Panglembar Keras, used in the art form of the Topeng dance drama, which came about in the 15th century in Bali and Java. The Balinese version of Topeng would include many different character masks, some speaking and some non-speaking. The mask has real hair mounted on strips of leather for his eyebrows and mustache, with carved sideburns, lacquered face and eyes, and metal inlaid teeth. circa 1920s
