An extremely cute pair of ceramic sculptures of two young Chinese children peeking over a balcony. The pair of children appear to be fragments of an old roof tile, and each one is set upon a wooden stand. The modeling of the children is exceptional, especially the character in their faces. They are dressed quite elaborately, one with a deep yellow glazed robe and the other with a grey robe with white crackle glaze. The balcony is colored with a blue green glaze with deep blue and yellow glaze on the railing. 18th century Chieng Lung
