Zentner Collection: Antique Japanese Tansu, Asian Works of Art
American artist Guy Diehl, born in 1949 in Pennsylvania, is most famously known for his still life paintings and prints. Diehl's family moved to California in 1960, where he began taking courses in art at Diablo Valley College in 1968. He moved onto study under Mel Ramos, one of the originators of figurative pop art at Cal State University, Hayward. Diehl earned his master's degree from San Francisco State and graduated with honors in 1976. From there, he moved on to become an instructor back at Diablo Valley College.
