Japanese 2 section Mizuya or kitchen tansu, the front frame with original dark lacquer Hinoki (cypress) wood, Sugi (cedar) sides, and door panels of Keyaki (elm) burl with original reddish orange lacquer finish. The top section holds a long and narrow upper compartment behind four sliding Keyaki front panels, with two mesh and wood panels below opening to another larger compartment, four drawers beneath, a small drawer and a pull away panel to the right side. The lower section holds the largest open compartment behind two large Keyaki front panels and three drawers below.
