Japanese Woodblock by Tomio Kinoshita, "Red" 1971, 21/150. Large abstract square head over a square body with hands done in a curved space. All interior defined with parallel lines over a light orange/brown, shoulders marked by an abstract calligraphy tightly rendered.
Tomio Kinoshita born in Mie Prefecture Japan in 1955, exhibited at Nihon Hanga Kyokai in 1957, winning Association Prize in 1958, and exhibited in all subsequent shows until he have up art later in life turing to a trade of carving seals. Tomio Kinoshita was a self taught artist with a unique style, contemporary abstracts of angular, square, oval shapes.
