Antique Korean Bandaji known as a blanket storage trunk, made of a heavy Red Pine wood with a deep rich original patina. A single door is hinged horizontally and opens downward to reveal a large compartment for storage. Though these trunks were used for storage of household items, bedding was usually folded and placed on top, thus giving them the name blanket storage trunk.
Constructed using dovetail joinery for strength and durability. Hardware is made of iron and includes large hinges and lock alter with Buddhist symbols.
