Antique Chinese Dehua (blanc de Chine) porcelain figure of Guan Yin, the feminine Chinese translation of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara. Holding a scroll in her left hand and prayer beads in her right, she sits with one knee raised. Her robes drape elegantly over her head and body. Her hair is swept up into a style befitting her bodhisattva status and her face exudes a sense of calm and extreme beauty. There is an impressed character mark on her back.
