Antique Japanese scroll painting of a hunting falcon sitting on a perch, tethered with a red cord and tassel. Regal with long talons and fluffed white breast feathers. Painted in mineral colors on silk. Signed and sealed by the artist, Baikaken Kо̄ei.  One the back of the scroll is written: 楳花軒筆鷹図 Falcon painting by Baikaken.

Age: Meiji Period (1868-1912)
