Antique Kiseruzutsu or Pipe Case of peony and fu dogs finely carved of stag antler, good darkened patination, Case slightly curved with design of a pair of fu dogs cavorting amoungst pine and waterfall scene. The cord attachment in the form of a vine, its branch functioning as the himotoshi. Case mounted vertically on iron base. Provenance: Prominent Washington collection.
