This Japanese Butsudan shrine (Buddhist altar), traditionally used for housing religious artifacts, statues, and ritual offerings. Constructed from rose wood, the exterior features double doors with vertical lattice panels, while the top showcases a hand-carved transom (ranma) depicting a crane among clouds, symbolizing longevity and peace.
The interior is lined with gold leaf backing, enhancing the sacred presence of displayed objects. Multiple tiered platforms and small drawers provide space for religious items, incense, and offerings. This Butsudan reflects traditional Japanese craftsmanship and devotion.
