Chinese antique carved jade ornament. Intended to be sewn on to clothing. Made if pale green jade with subtle light and dark striations. Carved with a design of herons standing in water in a dense field of blossoming lotus, their stems and leaves intricately interwoven.

Age: Ming Dynasty Circa 1600's
