Zentner Collection: Antique Japanese Tansu, Asian Works of Art
A pair of large antique bronze vases used for large Ikebana flower arrangements or Japanese entryway vessels. The base of each vase depicts an underwater scene of swimming Koi (carp) and bamboo growing out of the water. The base incorporates the stems of the lotus leaves hugging the neck and opening to the top scalloped rim.

Age: Meiji Era: (circa 1868-1900)
