Japanese antique ikebana basket for flower arranging. Made of split bamboo and woven in a tight chevron pattern. Standing on six feet, the vertical supports and handle are made of naturally formed bamboo rhizomes. The foot of the basket is hexagonal in form and gradually the body of the basket splays outward ending in a wider rounded rim.
