A small and delicate figure of an luohan carved out of agate. He holds a fan in one hand and above his left shoulder, a small pavilion floats on a cloud of swirling mist. The luohan is skillfully carved in such an purposeful way the the colors of the agate emphasize details. For instance, his fan and slippers are a lovely gray, the tassels of his belt and the little pavilion are reddish-orange while the rest of him remains white with clear striations. He stands on a little hardwood stand. Minor wear consistent with age.

Age: 18th century.
