A Japanese antique ikebana basket for flower arranging. Made of thin sections of split bamboo woven in a criss cross pattern. The basket has a long cylindrical form and a round mouth and foot. The handle is a light color and made of bamboo rhizomes twisted together and woven into the body of the basket. Signed on the bottom Chiku Ichi Sai. Comes with bamboo insert.
