Large Chinese jade (nephrite) ceremonial piece, in the style of the Liangzhu period (3400-2250 BC), with carvings of faces. This nephrite piece is solid and has a pointed tip, and dpierced hole through its very top. The carvings around its edges look like eyes and may be related to the taotie (roughly "gluttonous ogre mask") motif, which were essentially symmetrical zoomorphic faces with no lower jaw, thought by scholars to be linked to religious ceremony and the afterlife. Chinese antique agate snuff bottle, converted by a French artist into a striker (lighter) with the addition of a silver bottom and rim with details of irises, dragon flies and butterflies. The silver work has a distinct art nouveau style to it, the lid is made of orange agate, silver and coral.

Treasure box made from Chinese hardwood may be Zitan, its lid adorned with beautifully carved hardstone inlay of two standing cranes with black bottom feathers, standing on a rock structure with long leaves sticking out around it. White jadeite carving, with areas of orange, of a smiling immortal man with long, flowing robes and his hair tied into a bun. He is identified as an immortal being by his long earlobes. His left hand holds the sash of his belt, while his right hand holds what appears to be a yoke over his shoulder. He is very detailed and even has extremely tiny nostril holes. 19th/20th century Size: 2.25" height, 1" width

Wonderfully detailed shell open container, carved and pierced all around with twisting vines and branches bearing fruit, with carved rodent-like creatures that move loosely within the vegetation. Gorgeous Chinese silk robe in an ivory color, with allover pattern of silk dragons and clouds. The breast of the robe has a large, beautiful phoenix with cascading feathers in light pink, grey, gold, and off white, with pink forbidden stitching around its face. Silk leaves with gold stitching and pink budding flowers decorate the lower front of the robe. The robe is edged in silk leaves and flower buds, zig-zagging stitches, and forbidden stitches. It has carved Chinese characters on either side within a raised oval border, etched spiral lines on its top and bottom, and serpent's heads along the jade's outer edges. An extremely cute pair of ceramic sculptures of two young Chinese children peeking over a balcony. The pair of children appear to be fragments of an old roof tile, and each one is set upon a wooden stand. The modeling of the children is exceptional, especially the character in their faces. They are dressed quite elaborately, one with a deep yellow glazed robe and the other with a grey robe with white crackle glaze.
