Japanese Antique Kimono Tansu
A Japanese antique kimono isho tansu in three stacking sections. The top section has sliding panels over three drawers. The sliders open to a shelf with two small interior drawers on the right hand side and a simple shelf on the left. The middle section has large hinged doors which open outward to reveal three full-width slide-out tray originally used for folded kimonos. The bottom section has three full-width drawers.

An original pair of Japanese Nihon Matsu style isho tansu chests, crafted in two sections and displayed side by side on a custom black iron base. Constructed from solid quarter sawn keyaki hardwood and sugi (ceder) using traditional joinery techniques, these chests retain their warm natural patina, highlighting the rich grain and depth of the timber.

An antique Japanese Tansu Chest used for kimono storage and made of Kuri (Chestnut) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware. With Hikutei style handles, the lock plates features bamboo leaves (signifying strength and resilience) and crossed mountain ferns.

Antique Japanese Sendai Tansu Chest Lacquer Keyaki
An antique Japanese Sendai Tansu kimono chest made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware. Side by side top drawers denotes the matriarch design. Three large drawers, two smaller drawers and a hinged security door that hides two drawers for valuables completes the storage.

Japanese antique two section kasane isho tansu (stacking clothing chest). Made with all kiri (paulownia) wood on the front. The sides, top and drawer interiors are sugi (cryptomeria) wood. Japanese Antique Cha Tansu
Japanese antique cha tansu (tea chest) made out of kuri or chestnut wood on the front and sides made out of sugi (Japanese cedar). The sliding panels are framed with Kuri wood and inset with Keyaki (elm wood). 2 compartments with sliding panals, 1 compartment with drop-in panel and 3 drawers. Beautiful joinery with all kiri interior.
