Japanese Antique Buddhist Candle Stand Shokudai Hoju
Japanese antique iron Shokudai (Buddhist candle stand), flaming drop shape hoju no tama, the wish granting symbol which grants enlightenment and release from earthly desires, Japanese writing on the cloud like portion at the bottom of the drop, holds 12 candles, Taisho/Showa Period. (c 1930). Size: 42 1/4" high x 23 1/2" wide x 11" deep (at base).

Beautiful Antique Japanese Large Tokoname Jar
Striking large Japanese ceramic Tokoname jar, wonderful irregular shape, large kiln fragments, thick ash glaze with unusual subtle blue and yellow striations, Momoyama Period (1573-1615). (The Tokoname Kiln is considered one of the "6 Ancient Kilns" and was located at Tokoname on the Chita Peninsula, bordering Ise Bay.)

Incredible highly detailed hand carved Japanese temple ranma (transom carving). Carved of a solid thick slab of hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood. Depicting a pair of beautiful musical apsaras (celestial beings), floating in a elaborate swirling clouds. Each figure is adorned with a head dress and whimsical flowing dress.
