Antique Japanese bronze temple bell known as a “bonsho”, with a handle of opposing dragon heads called Ryuzu protecting a sacred Buddhist jewel called Hoju. Protrusions called “chi chi” or “nyu” to improve resonance of sound, the “tsuki-za” striking panels, with lotus shaped “tsukiza”.

A dramatic cross section of agatized fossil coral, Florida. The after-coral pseudomorph was created when sediment covered a coral reef. Over time the calcium carbonate skeleton of the coral was replaced by chalcedony, creating the bubbly appearing crystal growth (botryoidal formation). The orange hues on the edges are carnelian agate.
