An antique Chobako (merchant storage box) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Kirinoki (Paulownia) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware and Urushi lacquer finish. Hinged door when opened reveals 6 drawers of varying sizes. In particular is one small drawer with ink stains that stored the inkstone. This chest was an essential merchant accessory used to keep in one place all of the tools and instruments needed to run a successful store.

Original hand forged iron hardware including the Warabite handles and the nickel rim Butterfy motif lock plates. A rare antique Ryobiraki Choba Tansu (merchant chest with hinged doors) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Kirinoki (Paulownia) woods. All original thick gauged hand forged iron hardware. Japanese Antique small and charming censer. The lid is pierced for incense smoke and the finial handle is in the form of a mouse. The round-form body of the censer has three small handles and is decorated with raised medallion reserves each with a different animal: rabbit, ox and tiger.

Antique Japanese kimono, made of silk and printed with a design of shells decorated with flowers and mist. The large shells float on an intricate design of small chrysanthemums on a purple ground. Beautiful yellow tones with details in burgundy, green, white and black. Lined with white and yellow cotton with sleeves that are lined in red silk.
