Japanese antique lacquer inro with a scene of a pavilion built over a lake. The inro is in five sections (four compartments) and is lacquered entirely in fine gold maki-e. The scene wraps around the case and displays the detailed buildings nestled in a lush garden. On one, side a tree with large red flowers extends over the water.

Antique Japanese lacquer inro with horse and samurai on either side. The inro is made in five sections (four compartments) with very fine polychrome lacquer togidashi in a scene of a fierce samurai on horseback. On one side, he holds a war fan. On the other side, the samurai looks back over his shoulder as his horse splashes through water. The gold maki-e technique makes the inro sparkle. The interior compartments are treated with a fine, dense nashiji.

Japanese antique eight lobed dish with gold and shell inlaid lacquer (shibayama). Each lobe is decorated in makie, the flora and fauna of the four seasons with archaic designs set in between. The central area of the dish is depicting a female figure holding a lotus with a child attendant holding a bouquet of lotuses. The bottom is crafted in nashiji lacquer with a gold lacquer signature set in a medallion motif reading: Kaneko Zo, or Produced by Kaneko.

Antique Japanese gunbai, war fan belonging to a high ranking samurai officer. Made of lacquered wood with shell inlay and with 2 large cut outs.
