Chinese antique pair of small porcelain plaques. The porcelain is painted with delicate famille rose enamel scenes of noble men and women. Each is framed and protected with glass.

Antique original Japanese bronze tsuba (sword guard) depicted a pair of gold inlaid snakes. Finely detailed down to each scale.
In Japanese culture, snakes, or hebi, are symbols of protection, rebirth, transformation, and good fortune. They can also represent wisdom, strength, and resilience.

Antique original Tibetan traveling inscribed metal brush case. Inscribed by hand of floral garden landscape mixed with scholar like objects. Original patina consistent with age. Two loops, one on the lid and the other od the long cylindrical side, provide a place to secure and tie in place. The top and bottom are flare out and brought to a point.

A vintage Japanese Aritaware umbrella stand in a cylindrical hexagon shape. Blue and white porcelain with Sometsuke landscape scenes of six different scenes. Its heavy weight suggests being heavily potted prior to firing.

Antique pair of Japanese fusuma doors. Hand painted interior doors with solid hinoki Japanese cypress wood paneling. Painted of white, green, red, and brown natural pigments. Frames are lacquered red. Original metal pulls. Depicting blossoming chrysanthemums along with a sleeping white cat.

Japanese antique lacquer inro with five reserve scenes of landscapes and implements most likely representing the Seven Lucky Gods. The inro has rounded edges and is almost oval in form. It has five sections (four compartments) and is lacquered entirely in very fine gold nashiji. There are 3 scenes on one side and 2 on the other in raised maki-e lacquer. An antique Japanese iron garden lantern in a rare teahouse design. Complete with thatched style roof, outdoor walkway and Shishigashira (bamboo style outdoor fence decoration called a Torake Tamasode wall. With stylized Shoji, full moon and open fan windows. Stand alone style lantern with removable roof.

Antique Chinese solid rosewood low alter table. Apron is well rendered and well carved of Cherry blossoms and fruit. Five equal sized hidden drawers line the front. Each leg is carved down to the foot. Original warm finish, the natural beautify of the grain of the wood comes through.

Antique Japanese low three legged natural slab top table. All surfaces are covered by layers and layers of lacquer. Top is finished smooth revealing each layer. The Japanese lacquer technique of layering multiple thin coats of lacquer on a substrate is used to create low tables, or zataku, and other decorative objects. The technique is called wakasa'nuri and involves applying various shades of lacquer and then sanding it down to create a natural pattern.
