Japanese bronze incenser in the form of Hotei, one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Fortune. Hotei is clothed with open robes, holding a gunbai fan, seated on top of his large sack. Hotei's name literally means "Cloth Sack", for he can be attributed by the large cloth sack he carries with him during his travels. He is also known as the Laughing Buddha due to his carefree happy nature despite being a wanderer with few material possessions.

Double ikat, hand-spun cotton with natural dyes, exhibiting the Wayang keno kneeling figures in threaded in rust brown. Wayang Keno are known as the triad of three Hindu gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. This textile is and would have been believed to possess healing properties as the name means "no disease". (Gering = disease, sing = no).
From the Tenganan Pegringsingan village in East Bali. Overall in very good original condition.

Antique Sino-Tibetan repousse hanging censer with iron chain. The hexagonal shaped body has the repeating image of a coiling serpentine dragon with lingzhi clouds of smoke, with inlaid turquoise on each side and touches of gold gilt. The base of the censer with a pomegranate form finial, the top of the censer with a finial in the shape of a fierce deity's head.
