Small antique Korean keyaki (zelkova hardwood) bandaji chest originally used to store blankets. Original finish and complete with hand forged iron hardware.

Japanese Room divider to create privacy in a large room. Carved in detail on both sides. Dragon and tiger are seen together balance together as representing the forces of the universe and the yin to those very forces.
On the flip side, three well carved heavenly flying apsaras are symbolized. Amounts the clouds, each angel is depicted holding there own instrument, sho flute, drum, biwa (four-stringed lute with a short neck) floating above blooming peonies.

Korean stacking two section chest. Made up of solid elm hardwood. Lower section has a front hinged compartment bandaji trunk. Upper compartment has a pair of hinged doors sitting above a set of four pull our drawers. Inside two shelves provide for convenient use of space. Original hardware.

Antique Indian miniature painting of a palace scene. Two beautiful court ladies sit on a palace balcony overlooking a lotus pond. A noble courtier sits at their feet. In the distance, another palace peeks through the trees. It is dusk and the setting sun has turned part of the sky orange. The image is framed by writing. There are gold details and a deer sits off to the side. This page is beautiful framed so the edges can be seen.

Antique Indian miniature painting of 7 noblemen seated in a garden. The men, most likely noble scholars, are seated around a white clad figure holding a flower branch. Painted in gauche mineral colors on paper. Framed.

Antique Indian miniature painting of 10 noblemen. Most likely a scene from an Islamic text, the noblemen focus their attention toward the figure in the center with the purple plume. The surrounding architecture is decorated with ornate floral motifs. Painted in gauche mineral colors on paper. Framed.

Antique Japanese jingasa, samurai helmet made of hammered copper. Bulbous form with rounded rim. Zinc lining and copper hooks with a hemp cord. A single character mon in black lacquer on the front. On a custom metal stand.
The samurai class in feudal Japan, as well as their retainers and footsoldiers (ashigaru), used several types of jingasa made from iron, copper, wood, paper, bamboo, or leather.
