Korean stacking two section chest. Made up of solid elm hardwood. Lower section has a front hinged compartment bandaji trunk. Upper compartment has a pair of hinged doors sitting above a set of four pull our drawers. Inside two shelves provide for convenient use of space. Original hardware.

Antique Indian miniature painting of a palace scene. Two beautiful court ladies sit on a palace balcony overlooking a lotus pond. A noble courtier sits at their feet. In the distance, another palace peeks through the trees. It is dusk and the setting sun has turned part of the sky orange. The image is framed by writing. Antique Japanese jingasa, samurai helmet made of hammered copper. Bulbous form with rounded rim. Zinc lining and copper hooks with a hemp cord. A single character mon in black lacquer on the front. On a custom metal stand.
The samurai class in feudal Japan, as well as their retainers and footsoldiers (ashigaru), used several types of jingasa made from iron, copper, wood, paper, bamboo, or leather.

Rare Edo Japanese fudog fukusa embroidery. The silk panel is embroidered in gold with detailed fu dog climbing the mountainous terrain. Backed on its original green velvet organic material.
In the 17th–19th centuries, fukusa were used to wrap gifts in a ceremonial setting. They were more decorative than functional, and were used to add beauty to the gift and to show the refinement of the donor and recipient.
