Wonderful patterns of chrysanthemums, blue underglaze with orange, green and gold details. Seal in blue on the bottom of bowl. Age: Late Edo Period (1803 - 1817). Size: 12" diameter x 4.375" height.

Huanghuali altar table decorated with carved decorations. The altar table has a square maize design repeated around the base of the table. The legs are decorated with carved panels of dragons climbing through clouds. The Huanghuali table top is very beautiful with strong grain patterns. Late Republic period. Republic period, circa 1950, carved jade miniature of a sage pinching it's ear lobe. The jade stone is shaped like a pebble. There are two medallions on the top of the shoulders of the stone. It measures 1.5" by 1.5" by .6".

Vintage Chinese jade carved miniature of a mother and child. The mother is squatting down as the child climbs on it's mother's leg and a stone. The child throws one arm with a small sack over the mother's shoulder, the other hand is held between the mother's two hands. It measures 2.5" by 2" by .5". Republic period, circa 1950.

Vintage summer hitoe kimono made of a silk and hemp(asa) weave. It has a beautiful print pattern of orange blossoms and paulowni blossoms in blue/green, yellow, and silver. It would have been worn over the juban, the under robe, which would have been white to bring out the colors of the robe. It measures 61" long 51" wide. Showa period, 1950-1970.

A large standing esoteric protector deity known as Gozanze Myoo. The piece has darkened from the smoke of the goma offerings done for the image. The statue is posed doing the Gozanze mudra, which is the mudra of subjugation. Gozanze Myoo's name literally means the vanquisher of the three realms, where this myoo destroys foolishness and anger.
