Striking large Japanese ceramic Tokoname jar, wonderful irregular shape, large kiln fragments, thick ash glaze with unusual subtle blue and yellow striations, Momoyama Period (1573-1615). (The Tokoname Kiln is considered one of the "6 Ancient Kilns" and was located at Tokoname on the Chita Peninsula, bordering Ise Bay.)

Beautiful Kutani ware porcelain standing figure of Kannon Bodhisatva (Quanyin), she stands in a relaxed pose with flowing black robes decorated with feathers, she has elaborate gold jewelry and crown with a small buddha in headdress, carefully sculpted and painted from her lovely face to her toes which rest on lotus leaves, late Meiji/early Taisho Period. Antique highly carved low side table with marble top, made for export, scalloped top, beautiful hardwood with elaborately carved legs with claw feet and demon faces, apron is carved with flowers, Republic Period. Size: 18" high x 20 1/2" wide diameter (17" diameter of top)

Beautiful Japanese small silver lidded box with oval shape, decorated with 2 kiri mon and characters on lid, back has maker's stamp, in original kiri box also with maker's name, c. 1930's. Size: 2 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide x 1/4" think.

Japanese antique Jizai or "J" hook, made for hanging a large kettle by rope from rafters over fire pit, made of keyaki (elm) wood, wonderfully rough hewn and sculptural, carved with eight sides, great patina from smoke and use, Meiji Period (1868-1912). Size: 30 1/4" high x 15" wide x 4" think (10" wide including small cross beam at top).

Small Japanese antique tansu for personal use, made all of kiri (paulownia) wood, 1 larger drawer along the top, 3 medium sized drawers down the left side, 3 smaller drawers of varying sizes down the right side, lots iron hardware including warabite shaped drawer pulls, lock plates on every drawer except the one smallest drawer, Meiji Period (1868-1912) Size: 17 1/2" high x 23 3/4" wide x 12 3/4" deep.

Japanese sword chest (katana tansu), made all of kiri (paulownia wood), 2 long drawers, iron hardware with square lock plates and warabite shaped drawer pulls, iron corner bracing, Meiji Period (1868-1912). Size: 12 1/2" high x 47 1/2" wide x 14 1/2" deep.

Japanese antique cha tansu (tea chest) made of dark hardwood, many open shelves with decorative cut out areas, compartment on top right with sliding panels, larger compartment on the bottom with hinged doors, 2 small drawer on the bottom right, Taisho Period. Size: 45" high x 46" wide x 14 1/2" deep.

Japanese kiri (paulownia) wood trunk, original deep red lacquer finish, iron hardware, trunk has curved lid and 2 drawers along the bottom (one large and one small), Edo Period (early 1800's). Size: 26 3/4" high x 34 1/2" wide x 16 3/4" deep.

Chinese antique sewing table, black lacquer with beautiful and ornate gold lacquer designs depicting scenes of palace life, interior has many little places for organizing sewing materials all lacquered in black and gold with bone details, a pull out lacquer and silk area underneath for storing embroidery supplies, claw feet, with key, 18th/19th century. Size: 28" high x 24 1/2" wide x 17" deep.
