Beautiful antique Japanese large covering originally used in a Buddhist temple. Three deep blue silk panels sewn together and woven with gold in design of 18 chrysanthemums and 18 floral roundels. Chrysanthemums with 32 petals, back is lined with a light blue cotton.
Inscription of previous owner, which states: Noto, Kashima-gun, Koura Village property of the abbot of Kouken (ji) temple. (Present Day Ishikawa Prefecture, Nanao city)

Chinese oval shaped pebble of white and green jadeite, carved with the the head and arm of Shou the Star God symbolizing longevity and good health, holding a branch in one hand of a darker jade. Late 20th century. Size: 2 3/4" high x 2" wide x 1" deep.

Large Chinese jade boulder, carved with scene of mountain pavilion with figures and pine trees, beautiful green color with orange rind. VIntage c1960. Size of jade: 7 1/2" high 9 1/4" long x 2 3/4" thick. On wooden stand: 9" high x 10" wide x 4" deep.

A well carved large Chinese nephrite early 19th century jade Camel with young. Legs are tucked below the body. Very refined in the carving and details. Underside  and through the tail and sections details are evident that this comes from master carver. Antique Japanese large lacquer fumibako (letter box for paper), beautiful design of silver hydrangeas flowers with gold lacquer leaves on top and sides, black lacquer with nishiji (gold fleck) ground, interior with the same black lacquer and nishiji ground, underside of lid with dramatic gold makie lacquer scene of young pine sprouts and grass, Meiji Period. Size: 15 3/4" long x 12 3/4" wide x 5 1/2" deep.

A large silk painting of a scene from the history of Japan by Kai Seihyo (1882-1974), one of Japan's noted painters specializing in historical subjects. Kai Seihyo was trained at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts. It was later in Seihyo's life where the artist began producing unique historical subjects and received high acclaim where Seihyo was known for his paintings of samurai and horses. Antique Japanese Bronze Warrior with upraised arm holding a Buddhist Bell Bowl and holding spear in other arm. Gold leaf on raised design. Very fine detail, good condition with small wear to gilt. On hardwood stand, bell taper inside bowl. Bronze figure is 17.5" High, with bowl 24" High, 30" High overall.
