A Philip & Kelvin Laverne Etruscan round dining or center table in patinated bronze and pewter.

Philip Laverne (1908-1988) and his son Kelvin (b. 1936) sought to create pieces that were both functional furniture and expressions of fine art. This table is one fine example of their creative achievement.

An antique Japanese Kaidan (stair chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Hinoki (Cypress) woods. All original Benigara finish on frame. Original hand forged iron hardware. 2 pairs of sliding doors and hinged door open to 3 spacious storage areas. 3 drawers for additional storage.

Unique safety protrusions on each step for secure footing when climbing stairs. Center storage has back and top vents for air circulation.

Antique Balinese Barong mask. The masked figure in Topeng dance dramas represents a protective spirit, a symbol of health and good fortune and is used during dance celebrations. This mask is carved of wood and painted with colors and gold details.

An antique Japanese Sendai Tansu (kimono chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Original natural Urushi lacquer and hand forged iron hardware including the stylized Mokko handles. A vine arabesque design surrounds the family crest on each of the lock plates.

Japanese antique Bugaku theatre mask for Genjoraku dance. The imperial court dance has been performed for over 12 hundred years. During the Edo Period, the dance was performed as part of shrine festivals to celebrate prosperity and peace. This mask is carved of wood with a moveable jaw. It has traces of red and colorful pigments. Mounted on a metal stand.
