An antique Indian miniature panting of harem musicians. Three beauties sit on an ornately decorated carpet and pillows. Two of them play instruments while a third claps in time. Around them is a lush garden with birds and a fountain. In the background, a marble pavilion stands with an ornate red and gold canopy. Antique Korean ceramic vase with long neck and wide mouth. Decorated beautiful deep celadon glaze with dramatic drips and crackle surface. The rim of the vase has several gold kintsugi repairs showing it has been part of a treasured collection for many years.

A rare antique Iwayado Kuruma Choba Tansu (wheeled merchant chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware and Kijiro Urushi lacquer. Featured metalwork includes motifs of Chrysanthemums and Pine trees symbolizing the Takasago Immortal couple. Unusual pod shaped designs on the recessed drawers.

Age: Meiji period (1870-1880). Exhibited in the Palo Alto Cultureal Museum 1995.

An antique Japanese large Osaka Todana Tansu (storage chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Hinoki (Cypress) wood. Two large sliding doors opens to a spacious area for storage. Mitered corners with mortise and tenon joinery and side slats incorporated for strength and support. Original bronze hardware.

An antique Japanese 2 section Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. Original hand forged iron hardware. Upper section has a pair of sliding doors designed with individual vertical slats with 5 side by side drawers below. Bottom section has 2 sliding doors with spacious storage behind.
