Antique Japanese black lacquer box, with makie (sprinkled gold powder) designs on its top and sides. The lid shows an open book with images of bamboo and flying sparrows and a scroll with raised images of leaves and foliage, and its sides have other auspicious maki-e elements such as butterflies and flowers. The underside of the lid and lining of its two small front drawers are decorated with an orange/bronze toned nashiji.

Charming Japanese school desk in a long bench style, with coat hangers on each side. The top of the desk has an inkwell and a dip for storing pens. The desk's surface has multiple carvings done by school children, such as an arrow through a heart containing a short love sentiment in kanji. Antique Japanese triptych woodblock print, meaning it is comprised of three separate sheets, depicting Akechi Mitsuhide in the final battle of Yamazaki in 1582. He is shown seated upon his horse, which has been shot dead with arrows, clutching his sword and gazing over the river at the approaching enemy forces in the distance. Vintage Japanese woodblock print by moku hanga style artist Fumio Fujita (1933-present). He graduated the Musashino College of Fine Arts in 1955 and began making woodblock prints in 1963. This piece is easily attributed to Fujita as he is well-known for using trees as a focal point. He combines scenic imagery with abstract geometric figures, using bold color combinations. Vintage Japanese woodblock print by moku hanga style artist Fumio Fujita (1933-present). He graduated the Musashino College of Fine Arts in 1955 and began making woodblock prints in 1963. This is an abstract piece he created early in his career with a goldenrod yellow and grey background and bold, black criss-crossing lines with solid black circles, capturing motion and fluidity.
