Antique Japanese Bizen ware figure of Tanuki, he is dressed as a monk, a jar for drinking hangs from one arm, in the other hand he holds his ledger book. Very charming expression and lovely detail.

A simple yet refined bamboo sago or a scoop used to gather tea leaves from the tea jar. The top contains a carving of scholar rocks set among small bamboo and a small tree with slight foliage. The inscription on the top right, (Japanese: Gakusoka, Chinese: Xuesu jia) refers to a person who upholds or revives knowledge or education. The work contains a signature with the name Bunso or Wencong. Age: Meiji-Taisho Period Size: length: 1.9" width 6" height 1"

Contemporary print by Mayumi Oda. A baby rides a catfish that leaps out of the ocean. The waves are outlined below the fish. The print is signed at the bottom in pencil.

A small Japanese hibachi formally known as te-aburi or a hand warmer which were often found in traditional Japanese homes. The hand warmer is shaped in the form of a winter pumpkin known as an akoda and the design has been in use since the 17th century. The warmer contains makie decorations of chrysanthemums set with a bamboo fence. Age: 20th century Size: diameter 7.5" height 8.25"

Antique Japanese Buddhist bell with a wooden handle and brass fittings and hardware. The handle is decoratedbrass decorations. The top of the handle has an octagonal fitting and the handle is also octagonally shaped. Hexagonal pieces of metal with incised design of a six-point star adorn the upper part of the handle.
