Saito Kiyoshi - Kyoto Gate
A view of a gate of a Japanese home found in the outskirts of Kyoto such as Ohara. The print contains an inscription of the title of the work, the date of the print, and the number. The woodblock was made by Saito Kiyoshi (1907-1997) who was known in producing prints of Buddhist subjects and views of traditional architecture in Kyoto. Age: 1968. Size: height 24.5" length 28.75"

Antique Japanese Bronze Tripod Vessel
A large Japanese bronze tripod censer decorated with various auspicious motifs. Dragons and phoenix-like birds are set within a wave pattern known as seigaiha. The feet of the vessel are shaped like scrolling clouds. A censer such as this would have been used for incense at a temple.

Antique Japnese Set of  Sword Fittings
A set of sword fittings compromising of a tsuba, pair of menuki, and fuchigashira. The menuki is chiseled in the katagiri style on shakudo with gold iroe embellishments. The fuchigashira are done in polished shibuichi bronze. The set comes with a special kiri box with purple chirimen silk to store the set.

A superb pair of hanging scrolls depicting a group of Japanese beauties set in two seasons, spring and summer. The scroll is mounted in fine damask silk in the san-dan style. Unusual high quality scroll ends with reticulated scrolling vine silver covers. Japanese Bronze Futaoki with Tachizuru Motif
A fine Japanese lid rest or futaoki as it is known in the tea ceremony. The lid rest is done in a technique known as karakane or bronze and has been hammered. The tachizuru or motif of standing cranes is often seen in various tea accessories representing the rise of auspiciousness.
