Rare Japanese Early Edo Saiga Style Samurai Armor
Antique Japanese set of iron and lacquer samurai armor in the Saiga school style. Tetsu Kuro urushi nuri 2mai dou Saiga gusoku. The kabuto has special iron-cut gilt eyebrows. Unique shikoro, Oie's mempo, large tare, hollow nose. Very thick torso, armpit ribs, Bishyamonten style kote.

18th C. Edo Polychrome Japanese Oni Devil Statue Carved Wood Sculpture
Very rare original 18th C. Edo Polychrome Japanese Oni devil oni boxwood statue. Original mineral pigment is intact, overall condition is very good and wear consistent of age. Bone inlay, very well carved. Small shrine compartment opens with figure inside. Wrapped in a swirling water dragon. Water dragon reveals a lotus pod reliquary above the head.
