Very rare monumental antique Japanese pair of solid temple support carvings made entirely from two solid blocks of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Deep relief carving on both sides depict 10 playful squirrels finding a cozy shelter amongst the grapes and grapevines (Japanese Budo). It would make a great architectural design incorporated into a building in any of the the wine vineyards.

Chinese antique pair of porcelain vases. Painted with snowy winter landscape scenes of mountain pavilions, lake side tea houses, and travelers on rocky paths. The neck and foot of each vase has ornate famille rose enameled reserves of flowers on gold ground.

Chinese antique jade toggle in the form of a cicada. The large cicada clings to hangings seed pods. The reverse side is a giant leaf. The jade is white with russet striations. Has a nice weight and fits comfortably in hand. Cicadas are symbols of resurrection, transformation, and high status.
