Pair Monumental Edo Japanese Temple Corbels
Very rare monumental antique Japanese pair of solid temple support carvings made entirely from two solid blocks of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Deep relief carving on both sides depict 10 playful squirrels finding a cozy shelter amongst the grapes and grapevines (Japanese Budo). It would make a great architectural design incorporated into a building in any of the the wine vineyards.

Age: Late Edo period 1800's

Dimensions of each: 79" Long by 19" High by 7" Deep.
