An unusual Japanese circular wooden stand with black and red lacquer finish, the edges of the stand are inlaid with shell, standing on slight cabriole tripod feet.

Japanese tachi-kake or samurai's sword stand, black lacquered and rich intricate shell inlay work, with a reishi mushroom shaped finial.

Chinese calligraphy brush pot, all hand-carved from bamboo. The low relief carvings depict a group of scholars riding in a boat through a rocky landscape scene with hanging pine branches. The rendering is similar to ink painting. Has subtle silver inlay in the river.

Chinese small meiping form porcelain vase with a lovely bright apple green crackle underglaze. Dark brown rim edge. Inside the vase, just below the rim, is done in beige crackle glaze as well as the underside of the recessed foot. Perfect condition.

Chinese small ceramic water coupe, the interior and outer body with thick grey crackle glaze, the dark brown clay body exposed where the glaze drips end. The short, rounded form has a ribbed body and slightly flared, wide mouth. Possible Guan Ware c15th century.

The composition is of bamboo, paper, layers of Urushi lacquer work with green lacquer, the edges decorated with two gilt mon of the Mori Clan.
