Japanese Framed Print by Tanaka Ryohei
Japanese framed print by artist Tanaka Ryohei, born in 1933 in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture. He has appeared in numerous art exhibits all over the world and his collections may be viewed in many museums such as the Cincinnati Art Museum, Museum of Modern Art San Francisco, and the Shanghai, China Museum. The medium used for this print are copperplate etching with aquatint. Titled "June", dated 1993, signed, and numbered 110/150 in its series in pencil.

A gorgeous Japanese framed silk hand-embroidered fukusa (gift-wrapping or tea ceremony cover), with the image of Jurojin, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. He holds his attributes, a staff and a fan. A crane, tortoise, and a deer accompany him, all of which are symbols for longevity. The detailing is very careful and breathtaking such as the glass eyes of the crane and deer. Meiji period (1868-1912)

A large Japanese framed print by renown artist Mayumi Oda, born 1941. Mayumi is most well known for her depictions of male Buddhist deities presented as women. This silkscreen print is titled "Daikoku", normally a male, the god of good luck and fortune. The title, number 22/40, and Mayumi's signature are done in pencil along the bottom margin. The print itself is tastefully framed behind special UV blocking glass. Circa 1984.
