Famille rose was introduced during the reign of Kangxi (1654–1722), possibly around 1720. It used mainly pinks or purple and remained popular throughout the 18th and the 19th centuries. This Famille rose enamel vase dates from the 19th century and has a greater range of color and tones than was previously possible on early pieces, enabling the depiction of more complex images, including flowers, fu-dog, mythical creatures, insects, and assorted scholar objects. Antique Japanese Funa Bako or ship safe chest with an original black lacquer finish. Ornate iron hardware decorates the front of the box with a side locking mechanism. Behind the front door are six drawers with ring pulls. Two of the drawers are precious and small, one labelled in kanji. Outside is made of Hinoki wood (Cypress) while the inside drawers are made of Kiri wood (Paulownia). Dates from the Edo age 19th century. Size: 15" height, 17" depth, 13" width

Antique Chinese blue and white porcelain dish with blue underglaze scrolling flowers and vines along the inside and the outer rim. Dates from the Mjng dynasty c 15th century. This piece was recovered from a shipwreck. Size: 1.5" height, 7.5" diameter

Antique Japanese two-section tansu from the Yonezawa region made from chestnut wood "Kuri", comes with a stand. Its large iron locks are incised with cherry blossoms and scrolling vines. Each drawer has mokko (melon) iron handles mounted on pierced backplates, and has pierced floral motif corner hardware. Its lockbox and the two drawers concealed within open with dual fish shaped iron pulls.
