An antique Huanghuali Chinese grain storage coffer in a square design. The hinged cover has a floating panel with time honored shrinkage surrounded by a frame. There are four protruding grooved square posts, one per corner that adds a decorative element. Hardware has brass mounts. Through mortise and tenon joinery construction and a beautiful patina acquired over its history. Front slatted moldings and 2 panel replacements using Jichimu wood. In the late Ming style.

An antique Japanese Tansu chest in 3 sections called Ishodansu made of Tochi (Horse Chestnut) and Hinoki (Cypress) woods. This chest was used for Kimono and clothes storage. Original bronze hardware and wiped lacquer finish. The front has a smooth channeled frame. Behind the sliding doors of the upper section lies a small drawer to the left and a corner shelf to the right side. Center section has 3 drawers and the bottom section has 2 drawers.

An antique Japanese ship chest called Funa Bako (ship safety box) made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original wiped lacquer and hand forged iron hardwaare. Hinged security door opens to 6 interior drawers of varying sizes.

Antique Japanese Musha-ningyo doll of a samurai warrior, the hero Minamoto Yoshitsune. He is seated and wears an elaborate kabuto with dragon meadate. His quiver and arrows are strapped to his back and his two swords are intact. His clothing is made of silk brocade and his armor is metal and lacquer. His face is made of gofun (polished oyster shell powder), his features are finely painted and his eyes are made of glass.

Antique Japanese bronze censer in the form of a monkey. Elongated right arm is holding a ring attached to a chain and another ring for hanging. The monkey's left arm hangs by his side and it's tail wraps around. There is a round door in the back for inserting incense. The smoke would come out an opening in the monkey's mouth. Charming expression. Deep patina.

A rare antique Japanese Sakata Funa Tansu (Captain's chest for uniform storage) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute exterior handles and the Warabite interior handles. Lift-off security door opens to two drawers where the captain's uniform would have been stored. Fully framed in iron.

An antique Ming dynasty Chinese painting table made entirely Jumu wood. Upper surface has a floating panel with time honored wood shrinkage surrounded by a mitered corner frame. The front apron has a Lingzhi carved pattern. Four splayed legs with the Ming era square mitered detail as shown in the book Classic Chinese Furniture by Wang Shixiang.
