Japanese Noh Theater Mask w/ Tomobako
Japanese noh theater mask of a woman, carved with pierced eyes, mouth, and nostrils for the wearer, as well as two pierced holes at the temples to be secured against one's head. Lacquered in flesh tone, black hair and blackened teeth and eyes, red lips, and black lacquer interior. With kiri (paulownia) tomobako, inscribed with the name "Zouonna".

Rare 17th/18th Century Japanese Buddhist Scroll
Japanese 17th/18th century scroll painting of a buddhist priest, outlined in a very rare style of incredibly tiny calligraphy mantra. The mantra repeats "Amida Butsu Nam Mo". The meditating priest holds a strand of mala beads and a willow branch and is seated upon a green lotus throne on clouds. The figure is most likely "Dengyo Daishi", the monk who brought Buddhism into Japan.

Rare Japanese Funa Tansu known as a Ship Captain's vault chest. Made with beautiful original thick Hinoki (Japanese cedar) wood, with triangular mortis and tenon joinery. The corners and drawers are accented by attractive ash color iron plating. The inside of the chest holds a unique array of seven drawers in a natural finish, with hirute type drawer pulls and all but three with additional locks.

Antique Chinese Porcelain Narcissus Bowl
Antique Chinese porcelain bowl, of an oval form with ribbed sides and a famille rose color palette. The yellow sides are incised with various Chinese inscriptions in blue glaze while several key characters are glazed in red. The foot is tall and deeply recessed with a red seal of Daoguang (1821-1850). The bowl is placed within a dramatic metal display of a fleur de lys design, raising it on narcissus style legs.
