An antique Japanese Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) in 2 sections made of HInoki (Cypress) and Keyaki (Zelkkova) woods. All original hand forged iron handles including the Mokko style handles. Upper section has 2 sliding doors with iron wire mesh screen that was used similar to the western pie safe with 4 drawers below. A vintage Japanese Kamo Kimono Biraki Tansu in 2 sections made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hardware and natural finish. Upper section has 2 sliding doors behind which lies a split level shelf and 2 small drawers with a pair of hinged doors that hides 4 full width Kimono trays. The bottom section has 3 side by side drawers and 3 full width drawers below.

Chinese antique small porcelain bowl with lobed edges, painted with a qilin against a background of rocks and trees. The sides are painted with more rural scenes in blue, green, black, red and yellow enamel. The significance of the qilin is that it is said to appear upon the imminent arrival of a sage or "illustrious ruler". Antique Chinese pair of large porcelain vases. Painted in black and red tones with elaborate scenes of religious figures, each displaying their specific characteristics and attributes in a spirited scene of multiple story lines. Wonderful detail and energetic subject matter complete with dragons, tigers, elephants and cranes. Six character Qianlong mark on the bottom.

An antique Japanese Kasane Kimono Tansu (stacking chest on chest) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Gumbai drawer handles and the stylized Chrysanthemum lock plates. Each section has two full width drawers for abundant storage and each section has side handles for carrying the tansu. Constructed using Japanese joinery and hardened wooden nails.

A mid century Japanese single section Kimono chest called Isho Tansu made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand made bronze hardware. With 2 sliding doors that cover a large storage area, 3 small side by side drawers and 2 large drawers below. Side handles allow for moving this tansu from place to place. Constructed using hardened wooden nails and Japanese joinery.Age: Showa Era (1960's)

Lock plates have double pine tree design to symbolize longevity and good luck. 6 drawers of various sizes for organizing and storage.
