The Qing dynasty, officially the Great Qing, was a Manchu-led imperial dynasty of China and the last imperial dynasty in Chinese history. It emerged from the Later Jin dynasty founded by a Tungusic-speaking ethnic group who became known as the Manchus.

The Qi Dynasty Bodhisattva, is carved from limestone and stands tall with a heavenly crown atop its head. The intricate details of the gold gilt and mandala with a swirling flame background and halo are truly breathtaking. Late 6th Century Northern Qi Dynasty (550 - 577) buddha carved of limestone. The three dimensional standing form is mounted in a custom weighted base for display. Right arm creates negative space between the torso as well between each feet. Textile is comfortably hangs with pleaded folds fans out around lower body. Tightly culded hair neatly formed. Losses to right shoulder and right hand at wrist. Partial loss of fingers on left hand.

A dramatic cross section of agatized fossil coral, Florida. The after-coral pseudomorph was created when sediment covered a coral reef. Over time the calcium carbonate skeleton of the coral was replaced by chalcedony, creating the bubbly appearing crystal growth (botryoidal formation). The orange hues on the edges are carnelian agate.
