Large Japanese antique bronze censer with ornate details. On the lid stands an oni (yōkai) carrying a Buddhist bell on his back. The body of the censer has a dragon with feathered wings flying through a sky with swirling clouds. The tripod legs are in the form of Ho-oh birds and the handles are ornately shaped. Samurai Somen (Japanese full iron face mas) A fantastic metal art form with the whole surface has developed into a deep russet iron finish. The metal has been carefully and masterfully worked to create wrinkles in the forehead, nose and cheeks. There are rope shaped eyebrows and fierce looking eyes. The mask is made up of five forged pieces that are riveted together. The inside is a deep dark lacquer, with some small chipping on edges as to be expected.

A light dusting of snow covers the bare branches of the willow which stretches the length of the screen. On the moss-covered rocky shore, a profusion of flowers blossom in a cloud of muted reds and yellow. Painted in mineral colors on oxidized metal leaf on paper.

Antique red lacquered cinnibar sword stand, traditionally used for displaying a katana. The surface is adorned with intricate carved cinnabar lacquer patterns, featuring swirling cloud motifs on the base and finely etched geometric patterns along the upright support. Some losses to the lacquer, overall in stable condition.

Antique Japanese bronze usubata, container for ikebana flower arrangements. The upper vase section has a wide, round rim decorated with a diamond-lozenge shaped pattern similar to the the hishi mon of the Takeda family. The body of the container is ringed with raised bands and tapers to a narrow stem which sits into a stand held up by three arching feet with waves.
